Moving sand art pictures in wooden frames by Exotic Sands.

Exotic Sands

Exotic Sands moving sand art pictures are the brainchild of Bill Tabar. Bill's creative inspiration is deeply rooted in his love for the mountains and captured in every one of his Exotic Sands pictures. Bill grew up in Sugarbush, Vermont and Boulder, Colorado, and eventually settled in Park City, Utah. He created a moving sand art picture from local sand and wood and added water to create a fluid living picture. The results are magical.

Handcrafted wooden lanterns with decorative cutout designs illuminated from within.

LUMINARIUM DESIGNS

We make handcrafted wooden lanterns. We make all of our own designs and then use a laser cutter to transfer those digital designs onto Basswood, which is the wood we use for our lanterns. We assemble lanterns by hand, and we use a battery operated LED votive to illuminate them.

Jim Deyrup Woodturning - Florida

I have been working with wood for most of the last 40 years, as I made and designed functional furniture for our home, picture frames, etc.  Wood-turning frees me from strict design for function and offers an opportunity to create shapes that harmonize with the natural beauty of wood grains.

Baltic by Design -

Robert Jones,  Maine

I have always been artistic and wanting to find a way to make a living with my art.  Early on I did a lot of drawing including photo-realistic colored pencil portraits. After the service in the Navy, I took a job in electronics which exposed me to machinery and quality tools which I was allowed to learn and experiment with. The art I make now is a blend of all these experiences, like my phrase: engineering as an art.
